Collagopal

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Coffee Coding handles information when you use Collagopal. There are no accounts, logins, advertisements, or server databases storing your photos and projects. Local photo editing is separate from the website usage information processed by Google Analytics and hosting services.

1. Photos and projects stay on your device

The editor reads the photos you select and processes them in your browser. Original photos and editing data are saved in IndexedDB on your device so that you can resume your last project in the same browser. The editor does not upload your photos or project files to Coffee Coding or send their contents to Google Analytics.

Exported images and saved project files are downloaded to your device. Project files include original photos and editing data, so only share them with people you trust. We cannot access or recover this locally stored content.

2. Browser storage

  • IndexedDB: stores your current project and original photos for local restoration. Data remains until you clear it, replace the saved project, or the browser removes it because of storage limits or private browsing rules.
  • localStorage: remembers your light, dark, or system theme preference until you change it or clear the site's browser data. It also saves your analytics consent choice and its date for up to 180 days, after which we ask again.
  • Analytics cookies and identifiers: Google Analytics may use cookies such as _ga and related identifiers, depending on the deployed configuration and browser settings. These are distinct from local photo storage.

You can delete local projects and preferences through your browser's site-data settings. Clearing only cookies may not clear IndexedDB or localStorage. Download important projects first; deleting local data does not delete files you have already downloaded or analytics information already processed by Google.

3. Google Analytics

When configured and only after you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics, provided by Google, to understand visits and improve the site. We do not load its script before your permission, and rejecting analytics does not affect the editor. Depending on the configuration, it may process page URLs and titles, referrers, visit times, interactions, approximate location, browser and device information, and pseudonymous cookie or device identifiers. Network requests also expose technical information such as an IP address to the receiving provider. Do not include sensitive information in page URLs.

Analytics is for site measurement, not advertising on Collagopal. We do not sell your photos or use them for ad targeting. The absence of a site database does not mean that Google stores no analytics information.

Google's handling of information is described in its Privacy Policy and its explanation of data from sites that use Google services. Analytics cookie lifetimes and server-side retention depend on the property settings and Google's policies; contact Coffee Coding for the current configuration.

4. Your analytics choices

You can block or delete analytics cookies in your browser or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on in supported browsers. Blocking analytics does not require deleting your locally saved photos. These options may not erase information already collected and must be applied separately for each browser or device.

Use the Cookie settings button at the bottom left of any page to accept or reject analytics when analytics is configured. Both choices are available in the initial notice. Rejecting after accepting stops further analytics collection and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies for this site, but does not erase information already sent to Google. Your choice is saved for up to 180 days in this browser, not across devices. If browser storage is blocked, your choice may last only for the current page session. Publishing this policy is not itself consent to analytics cookies.

5. Hosting, email, and recipients

Hosting and delivery providers necessarily process requests to serve the site and may keep security or access logs, including IP addresses, request times, URLs, and browser information. These technical logs are separate from a database of your photos or projects and are subject to the provider's retention practices.

If you email us, Coffee Coding and the email provider, Naver, process your email address, message, and any attachments to answer your request. Please do not send photos or sensitive information unless needed for your inquiry. Correspondence is kept only as needed to handle the inquiry, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations, then deleted when no longer necessary.

Information may be disclosed to service providers for these purposes or when legally required. Google and other providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States. Applicable safeguards and your rights depend on your location and the provider's arrangements.

6. Rights, legal grounds, and children

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, request portability, withdraw consent, or complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us to make a request. We may need limited information to verify it, and we may not be able to identify an analytics record from an email address alone. Local photo data can be deleted directly in your browser.

Where a legal basis is required, optional analytics storage and collection rely on consent where required by law. Essential site delivery, security, and answering inquiries may rely on legitimate interests, and legally required processing on legal obligations, subject to applicable local law. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.

The service is not directed at children under 13, or a higher age where local law requires it. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information can contact us.

7. Changes to this policy

We will publish updates here with a revised effective date and identify material changes on this page. Additional notice or consent will be provided where required by applicable law.
